In order to promote the prosperity and development of worldwide Chinese language teaching, and to advance the spreading of Chinese language and culture, HANBAN will hold "World Chinese Language Conference" in Beijing in July 2005. This big event will, taking "Chinese language development in a multi-cultural worldwide structure" as its theme, invite ministers of education from foreign-country governments, policy-makers and leading persons in Chinese language teaching, important officials and presidents from well-known universities, established sinologists and teachers. Leaders from Chinese government will attend the event too.

As one of the series activities of the conference, the "Eighth International Chinese Language Teaching Seminar" will be held between July 23-25 in the International Conference Center of the Foreign Languages Teaching and Research Press (Daxing, Beijing). The seminar will be attended by about 500 experts and scholars in this field, a very good occasion to demonstrate outstanding teaching products published in China in recent years to facilitate overseas promotion of the best products from China. For this purpose, HANBAN plans to hold concurrently "China's Outstanding TCFL Products Exhibition", with a purpose to facilitate domestic and international TCFL exchanges by providing a nice platform to develop more TCFL materials and to gain more publicity outside China for domestic publishers. We're cordially inviting Chinese exhibitors in this field.

Information about the exhibition:

1. Time: July 23-25; (set-up in July 22 and clearing in 26)

2. Area size: 500 sq meters, about 30 booths.

3. Size of booth: 3x3 meters.

4. Cost: 5000 Yuan for each booth, including the area fee, set-up and related service.

5. Booth design: By each exhibitor.

6. Layout of booths: Area map and facilities provided will be noticed shortly.

7. Preferential terms: A quota of two passes for each booth to the Eighth International Chinese Language Teaching Seminar, exempt for conference fees (lodging and boarding will be charged).
